![]() ![]() "Collect Apples 30" Will sometimes only appear as "Collect Apples" on the objectives screen. For some reason the values for objectives are not loading up correctly. Theres been numerous times where ill start up a single player campaine and it will instantly tell me im defeated. I know they didnt test MP, and if they did, then they decided not to fix the bugs on this patch. If you play multiplayer for more then 2 hours chances are its going to crash. Have you played stronghold 2 yet with the 1.2 patch?Ĭause i mean, its not like its hard to find some of these bugs. This also gives the game devlopers time to work on other games/programs.īut number 3. If they make the game open source code, then FireFly dosent have to spend as much money to fix all the bugs. So why not let us do it? They already spent 2years + working on this game, im sure they wouldnt ming takeing a break. We will be waiting till next year for everything to be fixed.Īnd chances are the devlopers are not going to fell like putting alot of the cool things from stronghold 1 back in. Anyone ever play Natrual Selection, thats one fun mod. In fact, all its done is made the game better, as people can make the own mods with the game for diffrent things. And they dont seem to mind haveing it open source code. And the Half Life engine is the best game engine to date. It dosent take up that much more time at all. Over to there version of the source code. Then all the devlopers have to do, is move the fixed source code. That person has to include a description of what he fixed and What lines in the source code they fixed. Its not like when someone sends the devlopers Fixed Source Code, that they would have to acctally look through all the code. Using comments would as well speed up the process. As long as the Devlopers coded it in a way where all the diffrent things in the game, are coded in the seprate H files. If they didnt do this, Then yes it would take a bit longer to fix bugs in it.Īlso It wouldnt take the devlopers longer to implement the new code. Then goto the H file and fix the bug there.īut that idea is only based on if the devlopers coded everything in seprate H files. ![]() Technically you wouldnt have to learn all the code, You would just find a bug in the game. You would only really need to learn the code in the Ai Pahtfinding H File to acctally fix the pathfinding. Lets say you wanted to fix the ai pathfinding? Well you see, Someone wouldnt have to fix all the bugs. ![]() It has no cutscenes however and therefore it is less rewarding than the other campaign modes. Also, I'd like to see anyone jump into a ready made game, and sudden y "fix" all the bugs. It leads you all around Europe, while sieging/defending historic castles. The Conquest Trail is a series of siege missions similar to the Path of War campaign. Releasing rolling logs is also harder, as they must be manually instructed to do so for each logholder. It also seems to know the location of pitch ditches, as its burning carts always target pitch ditches. Defense is harder, as the AI has a little (but huge) advantage: it can recreate laddermen once they get killed. The computer will launch his assault in a form of a regular invasion, erecting a siege camp then creating siege engines and laddermen. You have full control over your defense, but you cannot expand it in any terms. When you are defending, you must hold off the enemy attackers with the castle garrison. Your troops cannot be reinforced any way. The AI is very passive, apart from moving some archers along the walls. He has several bodyguards around him and most of the time, traps will hinder your way. When you attack, you must kill the enemy lord with your troops. Then, you can choose whether to attack or defend. Each castle has its own template, a short background in history and sometimes an ancient picture of it. In the lobby, you can choose from a list of castles. You can either siege or defend them against the AI controlled troops. With the patches, more castles can be added. In Stronghold 2, the 'Siege' mode was introduced with multiple map layouts based on historic castles. These fortifications usually consist of multiple defense lines, hidden traps and defensive ballistae/ mangonels. Your main goal is to fight your way in the heart of the enemy stronghold and kill the enemy lord there. In these particular short games you have an army at your disposal, usually supported by siege engines and shields. There is a distinct 'Siege' mode in Stronghold 2 as well. Siege is a common term in Stronghold games to attempt to force a castle's entire garrison surrender.
